#68964: "UI suggestions to more easily "follow" the game."
What is this report about?
What happened ? Please select from below
Suggestion: in my opinion, the following would greatly improve the game implementation
Detailed description
• Please explain your suggestion precisely and concisely so that it's as easy as possible to understand what you mean.
It would be nice to have major "events" noted on the table as well as in the history: Players announcing Pon, Kan, Chi, Riichi, and Tsumo might show in bubble over their portion of the table
The last discard might be indicated more distinctly (Glowing/pulsing) - when I was offered a chi or pon I often had to sort of "hunt" to find the tile on the table.
The Scoring Screen might show the Winner/discarder and Score more prominently than the rest.
Thank you, great implementation!• What is your browser?

thanks and thanks for the suggestions. Did you have animations turned on? They are what should make games more follow-able in the BGA spirit. I think they make the tile calls and the discards quite clear.
Adding some extra formatting to the scoring screen is possibe, I might have a look.
For the "speech" bubbles: I thought about that, too, but it's too labor-intensive for me to get the timing to be representative, i.e., it's not too complicated to show something additional when the notification of a claimed tile is processed but that is not when the call is made (registered in the database), which is what I think one would like to have to mimic IRL play. Plus, there are already the custom sounds doing something similar that you can turn on via preference.
Cheers,
gilthe
