Hi!
First of all, thanks for the game )) Love it since I was a child
Second, as I mention, it's rather hard to tell one suit from another of the same colour. In other games, as far as I can see, 4 colours are used, Above you can see my hand during the game, and I was about to think I had 5 cards of the same suit.
By the way, though the topic is another, just a question: right now there are only two variants, Polish and Russian. But the rules are numerous, and in many companies, players like to combine lots of them. Will it be possible to apply it here? I can explain more about the rules...

Report history
I initially considered Preferans suit order which is in line with the meld score (Hearts - Diamonds - Clubs - Spades), but as you said I intentionally chose this order to split the colors.
However, in the screenshot, you didn't have any Hearts...
In general, the 4-color sprite is rarely used or requested in trick-taking games, so I usually don't add them.
They are more popular in Poker games and Rummy games.
But as adding it is not so hard, I'll consider it.
About variants... I don't add less popular variants for these reasons:
- I can't implement every variant in the world. I have to stop at some point.
- Adding too many variants is actually bad, because most of them are rarely played, often confuse players and hampers matchmaking.
If you want to mix some elements, please select 'Custom' rule set option instead.
First, about the barrel. As far as I can see even in the custom rules, the barrel seems to be eternal. Once the player gets 380 or 880, they never can have less. So, there is a rule that says that after 3 barrels the player donws to zero, and the game becomes more risky.
Second, there is a variant where 4 aces are considered as a marriage, too, so to declare it, a player must win a trick with a 10. This marriage scores 200.
And one more thing. Maybe I havn't seen that window, sorry. I think, in this game, a helping window with the rules of the game, like scoring for each suit, would be useful...
Thank you again!
- Losing everything for failed barrel attempts is way too risky, considering most bids usually end up with ≥160 points and building up to the barrel limit takes quite a long time, especially for beginners who often overbid or underbid hands.
- With '4 Aces are 200 points' rule, a hand with 4 Aces and a single 10 guarantees at least 260 points - the minimum is AAAATQQJJJJ9999 (268 points).
I don't add a player aid button or table when the game rules are not so complex.
Actually I tried adding some in other popular games (e.g. Hearts) but they backfired - most players hated it.
So I won't bother with a player aid, especially when the core rules (meld scores, card ranks and points, bid process) are not subject to variant changes.
This will be more helpful than a player aid button, especially for German players, considering German variants follow Skat suit order for meld scoring (Clubs - Spades - Hearts - Diamonds) rather than Preferans suit order (Hearts - Diamonds - Clubs - Spades).
Where did you get the rules?
From the website www.pagat.com/marriage/1000.html? There is nothing there about having to meld on the first trick.
I don't know where the author got the information, but Bombs are not a common standard in Poland, it is a rarely played option.
Moreover, I lack the freedom to choose how to play the meld. If I choose the Polish variant, I have to play on the first trick. If I choose the Custom variant, I cannot play on the first trick. Why?
I would like it to be me who decides in which trick I play a meld.
If you don't want to meld, just click a card and play one.
About bomb:
I also considered 'no bomb as the default option', but during test games and spectator games leaving someone with the mandatory bid of 100 usually went with the flow of luck rather than an elaborate strategy.
Implemented as a custom option.
