VEGEbossWelcome to the *[green]VEGE[/green][red]tables[/red]* tutorial! In this game you are a farmer, working on a field (the board), in which there are 16 zones, dedicated to as many cultivations. You have a lot of work to do, represented by the cards in your Hand: your goal is to run out of cards, so you will get 10 points for each cultivation not completed by your opponent.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

VEGEbossDuring the game there are two more ways to increase your score. ---1) completing the Cultivations, like in this example: whoever plays the *Red 17* gains 10 points! VEGEbossThe cards are played, simply clicking on, into the slots of the Board, on top of each other and each cultivation... - starts with a Ground card (numbered 1-4) - and is followed by the Seeds (5 -8). - so the Sprouts (9-12) can born, - the Plants (13-16) can grow and, finally, - the Fruits/Vegetables (17-20) complete the cultivations4archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

VEGEbossOn the left part of the screen you can see the setup of a real *[green]VEGE[/green][red]tables[/red]* match: 1) The 16-slots Board 2) The Wells (8 cards per Well) 3) The Silos (4 columns of 4 cards)---Note that the cards in the Wells and in the Silos are partially covered. This implies that only the *first* cards are "free": when you can pick up, you have to choose only in the full visible cards.5player-86900803

VEGEbossThis is the player's Hand. Each player has: - 8 "Grounds", visible to both, numbered 1-4. - 12 "Seeds" & "Sprout", hidden from the opponent, numbered 5-12 - 5 Jokers (One is immediately available, the others, later) ---[red][tip][/red] Is very easy to calculate which cards your opponent is holding6player-84700261-hand

VEGEbossIn a live match, the "Ground" cards in the player's Hand are placed on the table, while the others are *physically* in the player's hand. VEGEbossEach turn you must do *AT LEAST* one valid move. If you don't have any playable cards, [red]the game ends immediately[/red] and the opponent gets 10 points for each uncompleted Cultivations. What is a valid move? There are 3 types of actions...8archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

VEGEboss1) Put one card on the board, simply clicking on it 2) Use a Joker in the place of a card held by the opponent, clicking on the card that *[red]FOLLOWS[red]* the joker 3) Discard a Joker or a card "burned" by the opponent using a Joker9archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

VEGEbossThe interface highlights the playable cards with a [red]red border[/red]. We'll use the *Yellow 1* to open the slot of the Onions Cultivation! And this is a very good opening move, because you are holding the next two cards in the sequence: the *Yellow 5 and 9* so you are not giving any advantage to your opponent10player-84700261-public-hand_item_5

VEGEbossWhen a player starts a Cultivation (usually with a Ground card, but is possible to use a Joker) you *MUST* take one card from the Silos. Click on the *Red 13*!1silo-1_item_80

VEGEbossAnd now, the Wells. There are two, at the sides of the board, and a third will be displayed when one of the first two runs out of cards. You have two ways to approach the Wells: 1) When your down to less than 12 cards you *CAN* pick from the Wells 2) When you have less than 8 cards you *MUST* do it In both cases you have to take as many cards are as you need to return to 8/12 cards in your Hand.1well-1_item_48

VEGEbossThere are two interesting cards in the *Left Well*: to take them you need to play 4 cards. The *Green 7 and 11* are a good choice, because the *Green 15* is a little bit far, in the *Right Well*2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

VEGEbossNow, playing the *Yellow 7 and 11*, you'll have 10 cards in your hand. It's a good move because the *Yellow 15* is obviously hidden in the 3rd Well, and the players need to do a lot of moves to uncover it!3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment
