JagzeWelcome to *La Marche du Crabe* (March of the Crab), a 2 player co-op game where you and your partner has to free 8 crabs hidden on items!
(They are scared of the bad brown crabs and lobsters attacking them so they decided to hide there.)
!!! [red] I will be teaching only the base rules. You will discover the other mechanics as you go further into the adventure! [/red]

JagzeEach player has given 2 items - those are *forbidden items!* Instead of your fellow crab hidden there, the baddies are hidden, waiting to surprisingly attack you, and will cost 2 shrimps if stop on it, placing another Baddie!
Your forbidden items are [blue]these[/blue], while your partner's are [red]those[/red], which you don't know!
!!! [red]You are crabs anyway. SO YOU CAN'T TALK! [/red]2card_374c5d_hand_1_front000card_a53b3c_hand_1_back 6 card_a53b3c_hand_2_back 6 card_6_2_front 7 card_3_3_front 7 card_374c5d_hand_1_front 7 card_374c5d_hand_2_front 7
JagzeOne player is assigned to be [red]Boater[/red], who moves vertically (and always go first to move), and another player as [blue]Sunny[/blue], who moves horizontally. We will play as Sunny.
You also have 5 shrimps to start with. You will use them to feed lobsters along the way, and if you cannot feed baddies, you lose!
Anyways, enough for introduction! Let's start the game!3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000crab_a53b3c 6 crab_374c5d 7
JagzeOn your turn, there's going to be an uncool thing, then a cool thing:
1. *A Baddie (either Brown crab or Lobster) will show up on the beach (mandatory)*
- You draw a card from the [green]lobster/crab deck[/green] and place it based on the background behind the lobster. In this case, we will place on the 2nd row.
!!! You CANNOT place the Baddie on an item, a freed crab, or another Baddie.4card_top_baddie_front000card_top_baddie_front 8
JagzeLet's see this in action with our partner's move.
!!! If you have to place a Baddie on the same spot as our crab, we will pay one shrimp!5archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000
JagzeOur ally placed a lobster in this location (yes, in some levels, lobsters will be different from crabs). Now going to the second phase of the turn (the cool thing):
2. *The crab moves together (optional)*
- You move in a straight line depending on which character you hold. As I said earlier, Boater (our ally) moves vertically. If you choose not to move, no shrimps will be lost anyways.1card_1_2_front62df7ed36544500card_1_2_front 6
JagzeOur partner moved to an item, and because it is not a forbidden item, it is freed! 7 more to go!
Now it's our turn. We do the same steps as our partner.
*Action: Place a crab Baddie on the highlighted square.*
[tip] If you are on computer, you will see an angry face while hovering a square. That means that you are placing a Baddie legally.1card_2_5_back62df7eda7e61910card_6_6_back 8
JagzeWhat's the second action again? Move optionally!
Let's move our crab to [blue] this spot [/blue] and hopefully we do not step a forbidden item! Remember that Sunny can only move horizontally...
[tip] If you're on a computer, you will see a crab as you hover. That means that our crab can move there.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment62df7ede2ca6710card_4_5_front 7
JagzeLet me skip some moves as I have few more things to discuss. Don't worry, it will be short!1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment62df7edfc2d9700
JagzeYou might also notice that your forbidden items are highlighted in red for you to avoid.
This is also the same case with phobic items (more on that if you reach a certain level on adventure!)1card_3_3_front62df7f0a14ed200
JagzeYou might encounter a situation where you need to cross (or even stop to) past Baddies.
If you *cross a path* of at least one Baddie, [red]you'll lose 1 shrimp![/red] You will see it happen in the next move.
[tip] If you choose not to move, you don't lose any Shrimps!
[tip] The yellow background reminds you that you have to pay 1 shrimp if you go there!1card_3_1_front62df7f486af7700card_3_1_front 8 card_4_1_front 1 card_5_1_back 14 card_6_1_back 7
JagzeOh no, our teammate has stopped into one of our forbidden item! Maybe our last move was a mistake?
When that happens, we *lose two shrimps*, and place a Baddie from our deck *face-down*.
!!! *[red]If we have to feed Baddies a shrimp and we don't have any, we lose! Additionally, when it's your turn and there is no Baddie to place down, we also lose! [/red]*1card_3_3_front62df7f5c4c57c00
JagzeLastly, I would like to say that there is a save feature in this game, so you can continue it later! Clicking the give up button when the game seems lost lets you also save the progress (score) for the campaign!
Some adventure levels have some new mechanics introduced, like Pebbles, Shrimp cards and Phobic cards! I'll let you discover those as you go further into the adventure.1btnStopAdventure62df7f6b578b900btnContinueAdventure 3 btnStopAdventure 7
JagzeThat would be all for the tutorial. Feel free to ask or message ufm or Jagze if you have questions.
