A few times during the game I was confused on which was past, present, future board since I would vary between mobile and laptop interfaces. In one case, all boards are vertical and in another all are horizontal. It felt like orientation was altered between the two cases even if that wasn't the case.

Thanks for your suggestion. In fact I thought on including the name of the boards but I wanted to respect the original design. However, I think that having it as a preference could do the trick, so most probably I'll include it.
What you already have available for the vertical display is the possibility of having the boards in reverse order. During the testing phase some testers mentioned that they felt more natural having the order down-top instead of top-down.
