We had a similar problem in our 3-player game -- one player's turn was skipped. The player in question (travelingamer) was preparing their turn, and when their turn came around and they tried to confirm it, they got the warning message about two actions being attempted at the same time. They were unable to confirm or change their turn. They reloaded/F5 and it showed that the turn had moved on to the next player. Apparently some parts of their turn did get saved but not all -- the piece they placed stayed on the board, but they were not able to claim new pieces for the icons they covered.
If this happens again, please add a comment or create a new bug report!
