• Which part of the rules was not respected by the BGA adaptation
3 assistants + President on laboratory. The technology I want to acquire costs 3 gears + 1 (it's in the middle). The right side does say I have 4 gear yet it asks me to buy a 4th technology. Even if I choose the 2 yens option it doesn't register it. Only the "use one import" option triggers a technology (the 5th actually) and allows the acquisition.
• Is the rules violation visible on game replay? If yes, at which move number?
I cancelled the move and did another action.

@totobis: you already have 3 tech cards. You have to pay extra to get your 4th+ tech cards.

The rules are clear: The 5th and + tech card cost 2 yens. But many times I must pay an extra 2 yens for my 4th card. Table: 261286876
