I just defeated all the monsters after delving 5 levels (Delve #2). I had one companion die left and there were a couple of potion dice left from the dungeon dice. There were only 2 dragons in the dragon lair, so there wasn't any further threat to me. I decided that I wanted to return to the tavern and collect my 5 points. Without really thinking about it too much, I selected the "Flee the Dungeon" button because that's what I wanted to do, leave the dungeon. But that action gave me 0 points.
My suggestion is, if you are past the monster phase and there is no threat to you from the dragon's lair, then there is never a reason that a player you should "flee" the dungeon. Change the button to "Return to Tavern" and it can simply auto-advance you through the phases to that point to end your turn. -
