• Which part of the rules was not respected by the BGA adaptation
Paying 3 cocoa ANYTIME during your turn should be possible even at the very start of the turn. This is not possible since the mod strictly follows the "move worker" or "unlock all workers" as a means to start your turn. However the free action of unlocking by paying 3 cocoa is possible even before, during, or after any ordinary action has been taken.

• Is the rules violation visible on game replay? If yes, at which move number?
It wont be visible since Im going to do another action instead since the free action isnt possible. However, I intended to do it on move no. 204.

I dont have anything more to add. The free action should be possible anytime during a turn.

I'm not sure I quite understand. Isn't the "Unlock all workers" the (potentially free) action you want to do here?
Note that if you select this option, it should then offer the choice between unlocking all workers for free (and thus ending your turn) or paying 3 cocoa (and continuing your turn).
PS : If this isn't what you wanted then we won't be able to replay the game to see the situation at the move you quoted until the game has finished.

I've just looked at the replay and I think my initial impression was correct - you thought that the "Unlock all workers" button consumed the whole of your turn whereas it does in fact give you the option of paying 3 cocoa and continuing your turn.
