14. Aug 2024 4:36 • I am using arc browser on my computer and on my phone. It's possible that I had a connection to the game through both locations I suppose. But both devices were asleep when it happened and so was I.

16. Aug 2024 19:58 • It's possible that the trigger for this issue is when someone submits their combat dial choices, then changes their mind and submits new combat dial choices. This seems to cause the combat to be evaluated with the other player having 0 power submitted.
I'm currently in game 548388051. At move 318, my opponent triggered combat with me, but it first asked me if I wanted to use Saxony's Disarm ability. By the time I moved, my opponent was offline. I submitted my power dial settings, then later reconsidered and submitted lower power dial settings. The combat immediately resolved, even though my opponent was still offline.
I'm also in game 548336128, and in that case my opponent triggered a combat with me at move 266. I was offline at the time, and 14 minutes later the combat resolved without my input. I have not asked my opponent if they resubmitted their power dial choices.

24. Aug 2024 8:17 • I also experienced this from the attackers side. This is the game. boardgamearena.com/1/scythe?table=551022319. I cannot see a way to identify the move ID but it was the first combat between Rusviet and Saxony around Move #349. As described before, I set up power level and cards, then changed my mind, that triggered the end of the combat with Rusviet having no chance to use the power dial.

We are playing the game in beta mode and the combats are not working properly. The attacker always wins and the defender has no option to defend.
If it helps.

28. Aug 2024 19:56 • Just happened to me at least 2 times. I thought it was a coincidence but now I understand what happened. After submitting your power and cards for battle, if you want to change what you have selected and do a resubmit, it makes you the winner of the battle immediately saying your opponent has used 0 power and 0 cards.

10. Sep 2024 11:21 • I see this happening all the time in turn based matches.
I was attacked in the factory and the attacker immediately won. (The attacker asked if he had won against me instantly because I didn't even take the turn. and yes. I had no option to select power or CC.
When I opened up the game I could only retreat
My latest example:
Table #560056744
Move #280

1. As an attacker, I choose my power and cards
2. I realized I made a mistake and I reloaded whole web page
3. I submitted new values -> Combat automatically resolved itself

This is a turn-based table. I was not notified of my option to play. When I returned, the log said I had committed 0 power and chosen not to play a card.

18. Sep 2024 5:02 • I submitted two 3 power cards in my combat and then had second thoughts and tried to click on the power button on the off chance I could change what I submitted and it let me change what cards and power I threw. Right after I did that it resolved the combat and I thought I had switched the power just in time. However, after my opponents next turn he said he did not see that the combat had taken place.

14. Oct 2024 17:35 • I've had this happen to me twice now. The first time, an opponant attacked me when I was offline in two different locations in the same move. When I was notified it was my turn and opened the game, my move was only to determine where I would retreat to (home base or a lake). For both battles, the game log said I chose 0 power and 0 combat cards.
It just happened to me again in Table #571824676 around 64% progression (shortly before hand #301). I was the attacker this time. I had my character and one mech. I selected two combat cards, but before I could select power on the wheel the battle card window closed and the game said I chose 0 power and 0 combat cards and I lost.

Exact same issue here.
I play a turn-based game. When my turn came I saw that a combat had happened but I hadn't even been prompted to play anything, and I lost the combat. That's a little bit of a HUGE bug for a game like Scythe :D
