Report history
According to the rules:
A team wins if:
- a dwarf from that team creates the connection to the treasure and the way there
isn‘t blocked by a door of the other color, or;
- a dwarf from the other team creates the connection to the treasure, but the way
there for his or her own team is blocked by a door of the wrong color.
Accordingly to the links given in the BGA Saboteur page (Expansion rules (Saboteur 2) : zmangames.com/rulebooks/Saboteur_2.pdf),
"Splitting the Treasure
Depending on whether there is an uninterrupted path from the start to the treasure or not, the
Gold-Diggers or the Saboteurs win the round. If the path to the treasure is blocked by a door,
only the dwarves from the team of the same color win."
There is no indication that only a colored team win if there is no door on the path.
If I'm wrong, could you give me a link with the rule giving the proper explanation about this behavior please ?

Just noticed this thread.
There is actually indication that only a colored team win if there is no door on the path.
Please see p.1 of sab 2 rules
New Dwarf and victory conditions (blue and green miners):
".......but they are IN COMPETITION"
"A teams win if one of their own dwarf finishes a path to the treasure."
The second statement would imply that blue opens gold, blue will win. As they are in competition, most likely this would also imply green would not get anything.
Hope this would help.
Hi Sergii,
BGA answered me already.
In fact, both of you are right. Your issue has revealed a translation error.
The programmers of BGA have followed the French rule version of the game. This rule, which I’ve checked long time ago, contains a badly translated sentence which is the cause of the wrong interpretation.
I will inform BGA of it and more importantly the French distributor.
I will keep you updated of any change applied by BGA.
Best regards,
Frederic

So this was actually a bug, even though our reference rules said it wasn't ;)
It has been fixed today.
- Usually each team wins alone. Blue and green are competing for victory.
- Examples and exceptions:
* If a green digger creates a path to the treasure without any doors, the green team wins.
* If there is a blue door on the path, the blue team wins instead of the green team.
* If there is a blue door and a green door on the path, only the boss and profiteer win.
* If the boss, a saboteur, a geologist or the profiteer creates a path to the treasure without any doors, both teams win together.
The previous implementation did exactly that, so in fact it was correct. I reverted my change to get back to the proper implementation.
Hope things are clear now for everyone with the examples above :)
Have fun!
