The rules suggest to use a selection of presumption card pairs for beginners (page 3), so that no initial selection of cards is required.

I think having this option would greatly improve the experience for new gamers as they are likely to be overwhelmed by the initial selection and likely to make a poor choice that will make their first game even harder.
